How does the home service scheme work?

If a job meets all the conditions of the home service scheme, then the client is not seen as an employer. The assistance is therefore not employed. This makes the payment a lot easier. The client does not have to take into account financial or administrative consequences, for example, the tax authorities. The help must report his or her earnings to the tax authorities once a year.

Conditions of the home service scheme

To be covered by the home service scheme, the work must meet the following conditions:

The following matters fall under the home service scheme

Is babysitting legal?

The babysitter agrees on an hourly fee with the family.

The amount that the babysitter receives is the gross amount! So no tax has been paid yet. Every year the babysitter fills in what he or she has earned with the income tax. It is therefore important for the nanny to keep track of how much he/ she has worked and at what hourly rate.

This is made very simple and clear in the app 😊 The exact amount of tax depends on the amount earned and personal financial situation of the babysitter.
